SINGING sensation Hannah Morris released her debut single yesterday, but instead of hobnobbing with celebrities she was busy studying at school.

The 14-year-old is back at Smithills School after a whirlwind series of TV appearances in London because of her stunning performance in the final of BBC's 'A Star for a Night'.

Hannah came fourth in the 11-strong contest, receiving 91,354 votes.

Her debut album, 'Hannah Morris', is not selling as well as she had hoped, but the schoolgirl still has a busy few months ahead of her.

Dad Peter said: "The album is selling slowly and we need it to get into the Top 50.

"The record company has told her not to be too downhearted as competition is very tough and I'm still 110 per cent behind her."

Hannah will be performing in Bolton on November 16 at the Christmas lights switch-on in Victoria Square.

She will be singing on the BBC's Children In Need Appeal on Friday, November 17.
