AN astronaut who flew in the Space Shuttle has relived his experiences for cadets of the No 80 Bolton Squadron Air Training Corps.
Don Lind spent an evening with the teenagers at Nelson Street Barracks telling them about his flight in 1985 and his years spent working for NASA
As well as travelling three million miles in the Space Shuttle over a seven-day period, the American played a major role in the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1966.
Mr Lind is now retired from NASA and is an ambassador for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
