PUPILS at Southlands High struck it lucky last Monday when former Liverpool and England striker Roger Hunt shot into school for a visit.
World Cup winner Roger presented year 11 pupils with their interim report certificates.
And Roger, who was the first player to score a goal on Match of the Day, was also at the school to receive a copy of a booklet -- put together by Year 10 pupils Jon Howells, Neal Edmondson and Doug Fitzgerald and Year 11 pupil Claire Nolan -- containing favourite Wembley memories from more than 30 well-known internationals, including Alan Shearer, Bryan Robson and Sir Tom Finney.
Roger's favourite memory was, of course, the 1966 World Cup Final.
Anyone who wishes to obtain one of the booklets can ring the school on 01257 414455.
