EVACUEES from the gas blast at a Walkden block of flats started moving back in today.
Four people have returned to the Kingsley Road flats but another four have been forced to find a new place to live after their homes were wrecked.
An investigation is still underway by Health and Safety inspectors.
The Walkden flat was blown apart in the explosion after James Bleakley, aged 37, lit a cigarette at 5am yesterday which ignited a build up of gas.
A spokesman from Salford City Council said: "It is safe for the time being for people to move back in."
