WELFARE rights charity SeniorLine, run by Help the Aged, is offering free advice to Bolton pensioners on how to keep warm.
Their advice includes practical tips such as checking insulation and draught proofing as well as making sure heating systems and meters are in good working order. It is part of a Government led scheme which can help people save money. The Home Energy Efficiency Scheme offers financial assistance of up to £1000 which could pay for a wide range of improvements. They also recommend everyone entitled - those over 65 - to take up the offer of a free flu jab. More information from SeniorLine free on 0808 800 6565.
