THERE was plenty to sing about when two Astley Bridge groups joined forces to raise money for a worthy cause.
The Astley Bridge Royal British Legion (RBL) teamed up with members of the Knights of the Golden Horn to hold a charity evening to raise money for Guide Dogs for the Blind.
A full evening of entertainment ended with the Knights and the RBL collecting £230 for the cause.
A spokesman for the Knights said: "The evening was a great success and was enjoyed by all. We would like to thank the members and committee of Astley Bridge Royal British Legion for their support, it was greatly appreciated.
"We would also like to thank the supporting artists on the evening and a special thank you goes to Knight Lawrence Hearn as compere."
