Ramsbottom United entertain Cheadle Town at the Riverside Ground with former Atherton Colls and LR man Phil Porter set to make his home debut. Atherton Colls manager Chris O'Brien has a fully fit squad to select from Abbey hey's visit to Alder House with striker Luke Hardman and defenders Lee Bowles and Mark Parry having shaken off recent injury doubts.

Graham Howarth, the Padiham boss, has just been announced as the Division Two October Manager of the Month.
Lee Pover returns for Daisy but John Keary is still sidelined with an ankle ligament injury. Striker Adam Entwistle is now just days away from completing his six week suspension period and is one player glad of the recent heavy rain - he has yet to miss a single game! Clubs try for a third consecutive Saturday to get LFA Amateur Challenge Shield Round Two games played. The Lancashire FA this week issued instructions that a pitch inspection must be organised for 12 noon today. If the pitch is unfit for play the tie will switch venue to the home ground of the away team.
The top local attraction in the second round draw is West Lancs League Blackrod Town at home to Manchester League Atherton Town. Pennington entertain Wigan Amateur League side Winstanley St Aidans and two former "big names" of the Bolton Combination clash with Walkden at home to Hindley Green, now of the Wigan League. Eagley have New Vic as visitors, while Hindsford travel to Slyne with Hest, Turton to Wigan Rovers and Tempest United are away at Golborne Sports.
