SATURDAY
LIFELONG Birmingham fan Michael Ricketts grabs the glory at St Andrew's with a gifted equaliser to earn Wanderers a hard-fought 1-1 draw after Martin Grainger puts the Blues ahead from the penalty spot. Paul Warhurst makes a surprise comeback as a second half substitute for Mark Fish. Sam Allardyce says he has not ruled out the possibility of Gudni Bergsson staying on at the Reebok after his planned retirement date at the end of this season.
MONDAY
SPECULATION mounts over Mark Fish's Reebok future with Sam Allardyce criticising the player's performance at Birmingham and questioning his commitment while there is a growing belief that Premier League Charlton are back in with a bid.
TUESDAY
FISH agrees personal terms with Charlton after Wanderers accept a £700,000 bid - four months after a £1.5 million deal between the two clubs had dramatically collapsed. Meanwhile Wanderers and Coventry refute reports that Scotland international defender Colin Hendry has joined the Reebok ranks on loan for the rest of the season. Burnden Leisure chairman Phil Gartside reveals that the plc board had decided to transfer from the London Stock Exchange Official List to the Alternative Investment Market to allow the company to be run in a more efficient, cost effective manner. The annual report shows losses to June 30 were half the previous year's - £2.7million compared to £5.4m.
WEDNESDAY
ALLARDYCE hits out at Fish, accusing the player of "not wanting to play for Bolton Wanderers" ... Ricardo Gardner is recalled to the Jamaican international squad for the World Cup qualifier in El Salvador. Dean Holdsworth, missing for six games with a groin injury, is back in training and hoping to be in the reckoning for the Barnsley game.
THURSDAY
NORWEGIAN duo Gunnar Aase, a winger from Viking Stavanger, and Kjetil Pedersen, a centre-back from Elfsborg, become trialists No 47 and 48 to try to win contract offers with Wanderers. Allardyce checks them out in a private practice match against Oldham Athletic, which ends in a 2-2 draw.
FRIDAY
ALLARDYCE drops his interest in Aase and Pedersen and doesn't sound confident of success in his pursuit of Hendry after making contact with Coventry. Fish responds to Allardyce's criticism insisting that he always gave 100 per cent for Wanderers and has received good luck messages from fans and former team-mates.
