HUNDREDS of children squeezed on to the stage and gave a fantastic performancefantastperformance of their lives.
Performing in front of a packed house at Victoria Hall, 400 youngsters filled the venue with wonderful music.
They were part of one of the biggest indoor choirs to be assembled.
They were reunited after taking part in the choir at Bolton's Biggest Birthday Party.
Many boys and girls who starred in the 2,000-strong ensemble at the Reebok in the summer performed a collection of favourite hymns on Thursday night.
Schools taking part included Blackshaw County Primary; St John RC; Tonge Moor County Primary and St Ethelbert's RC.
Many more who sang at the massive event in July wanted to perform at the concert but there just wasn't the room for them all.
Phil Mason, Churches Millennium liaison officer and superintendent minister at the methodist Victoria Hall, said: "We managed to have 400 children in the choir and we had an audience of 900. It was a varied programme and there were lots of opportunities for the children to sing their favourite hymns."
The Canon Slade singers performed after returning from America.
It is hoped concerts involving Bolton children will become a regular event after the successful show.
Mr Mason said: "Many people said it would be nice to do this again because there are so many talented singers in our schools."
