CUSTOMS officers have seized £100,000 worth of diesel from the site of an explosion at a Great Lever factory. Police are expected to release more details on the investigation into Friday's explosion which wrecked the garage and workshop on Weston Street.
Emergency services were called to the premises just before noon after a series of explosions ripped through the building.
The blast was treated as a full chemical incident until emergency services could be certain of the cause and nature of the fire.
An investigation was launched immediately following the blaze and chief inspector Alan Green, of Bolton police, said arson was not being ruled out.
Officers from HM Customs and Excise fuel investigation department were at the scene well into Friday evening.
