WHEN you visit your local theatre, you do not expect to have a crying baby next to you. So, we cannot agree with local man Matthew James who was upset by the Octogan's refusal to allow his six-week old daughter Charlotte into the audience with his parents.
We're sure that Charlotte is a lovely baby, and may never cry when out and about. But, the theatre is an intimate place of creative performance and actors and actresses deserve silence.
A baby may not understand this concept. We are surprised that his parents, both thespians, do not.
