AFTER listening to our Chancellor of the Exchequer and his wonderful news to pensioners -- will it still be so wonderful when a single pensioner on income support gets a £5 rise and has that amount deducted from their income support?
What is the point? Many who get less than £5 income support will no longer be in receipt of it, along with accompanying benefits.
So much for helping the poorest of pensioners.
A rise is no use unless the needs allowance rises with it.
