RIVAL soccer chiefs in the region are helping police kick racism into touch.
Reds boss Sir Alex Ferguson has teamed up with Manchester City chief Joe Royle in a police bid to stamp out racism across Greater Manchester.
The aim is to reduce racist incidents and increase confidence among minority ethnic communities in the region.
United stars joined City footballers Nicky Weaver, Shaun Goater and the two soccer bosses to help launch the campaign 'Manchester City United Against Racism'.
Chief Insp Margaret Parker said: "A partnership between Manchester City and Manchester United football clubs will send out a very positive message to local communities, including the minority who are guilty of racial prejudice."
The latest initiative followed an anti-racist day at Bury FC earlier this year, following recent attempts by the FA to eradicate racism on the terraces.
