A LITTLE Hulton building company was honoured in this year's Lancaster Design Awards.
G & J Seddon was successful in the ceremony at Lancaster Town Hall for its sensitive scheme which converted traditional, listed farm barns into offices for Bay Community NHS.
The conversion was part of a much larger project undertaken by Seddons through the Government's Private Finance Initiative.
The overall project involved the offices, three close care residential homes, day centres and a resource centre.
G & J Seddon Ltd worked with architects Condy & Lofthouse to develop offices which created "a unique and enjoyable working environment for the Trust employees." The development was a partnership between Seddons and Barclays Bank Plc -- Flagship Care (Lancaster) Ltd.
Seddons is celebrating its 103rd year of trading as a private, family-owned construction company.
It values traditional trades and invests in the industry's future by operating a comprehensive apprentice training programme.
