AFTER being foiled by the weather in their efforts to secure their first Unibond League double of the season at Lincoln on Saturday, Chorley take on Stocksbridge Park Steels at Victory Park this Saturday.
Stocksbridge, who are based in South Yorkshire, came into the Unibond League via the Northern Counties League East.
The Magpies, who were due to be involved in another Cup match on Tuesday this week with the visit of Squires Gate in the Lancashire Marsden Challenge Trophy, had their two FA Trophy clashes with Accrington Stanley since their last league match and clearly could do with the points.
Saturday's postponement was a big blow to the club, because everyone wanted the team to hit another big score following their 8-1 crushing of Lincoln United that earned the Performance of the Month award from the league.
Chorley's last Unibond success was on October 28, when they beat Congleton Town 4-2 away, thanks to two goals from Ian Barker (who has since returned to Mossley), Danny Mills and Peter Smyth.
Stocksbridge are riding high in fourth place in Division 1 while Chorley are struggling in mid-table.
