ONLY one game survived the weather in the Chorley Nissan Sunday Football League -- Adlington Nomads played hosts to Eagle FC on The Jubilee Playing Fields, Adlington and lost 2-1.
Both teams tried to play football on a pitch which steadily deteriorated.
Nomads took the lead through Carl Roberts, but the sides were level at the bread as Thompson's close range shot was deflected past the keeper.
Both sides squandered numerous chances before Loughlin raced onto a loose ball to crash home the winner for Eagle with 10 minutes remaining.
