AGE Concern's popular aromatherapy service for older people is set to expand at the end of the month.
Three more fully qualified aromatherapists will join the existing team to deal with the ever-increasing demand for this highly prized service.
Teresa Forrest, who oversees the service, explains: "In recent years we've been able to support a number of older volunteers to gain a professional aromatherapy and body massage qualification.
"In return, the students commit themselves to putting the knowledge, skills and practical experience gained during their studies, to work, on a voluntary basis, for the benefit of older people. With this welcome addition to our team we can offer the service to more and more older people."
The expanded service will be available four days a week at Age Concern's new Learning and Resources Centre in Farnworth.
Please note that the service is by appointment only and these can be booked only through Teresa at the charity's Ashburner Street Centre.
