A BOLTON executive search and selection consultancy has launched a world first in online recruiting.
Matthews Harris of Bolton has introduced an interactive website -- blackcat.net
It allows companies to promote senior positions through an innovative video clip featuring either a managing director or Human Resources manager who talks about the position and gives a brief introduction to the company.
Also, candidates can sell themselves through their own video profile which outlines their achievements and experiences.
Matthews Harris says the site will only feature the cream of their candidates.
The site was launched recently at Manchester's Museum of Science and Industry.
Mr Andrew Harris, joint Managing Director and co-founder of Matthews Harris, said: "Client companies have so far found that recruiting on-line has not been as straightforward as expected, discovering that sites are either not specific enough for their needs, too time-consuming or simply inefficient.
"Likewise, candidates wishing to apply for jobs online, were finding it weeks, even months before they got any response."
The new website carries a regular updated news and information service which offers candidates and employers crucial advice on career employment and HR issues.
It will also feature a section to help companies fill international positions, supporting the firm's expanding overseas division.
Matthews Harris' current clients include Iceland, Scan Foods and Findel.
Jacqui Matthews, co-founder and joint Managing Director, said: "Companies can now find a service tailored to their specific needs and the video facilities will save a vast amount of time and money in finding that perfect candidate." Jacqui Matthews and Andrew Harris log on to blackcat.net
