A 20-year-old man will stand trial at Crown Court in connection with the death of a 57-year-old Bury mother-of-two.
Benjamin Anthony Medwell, of Kirkway, Alkrington, Middleton, is charged with causing the death by dangerous driving of auxiliary nurse Mrs Gloria Bryant, driving with excess alcohol in Oldham Road, Middleton, and without a licence or insurance, and aggravated vehicle taking without consent.
Mrs Bryant, of Windermere Drive, Bury, had to be cut from the wreckage of her car after the incident.
Two of her passengers were also taken to hospital with multiple injuries and Medwell also suffered broken limbs and was detained in hospital for a period before being charged.
Medwell was remanded in custody.
