I AM writing to say why has there not been help for all the homeless, poor people who have had their homes ruined by the floods? Funding? Donations? The Queen says she is sorry. So then she could donate a large sum of her money to them.
Oh, it's easy to walk round in Royal pomp. I liked Princess Diana a lot. She touched people suffering from diseases etc and she cared about those less fortunate than herself. At least Prince William is following now in his mum's footsteps. He acts like a normal person and I doubt he will be dictated to like other young Royals.
Anyway, when there are any disasters elsewhere, our country is quick to go and help. But I don't see anyone starting funds to help these people here struggling to come to terms with their losses. I've never known such bad storms. At Christmas, we get all charities hoping people can really help them. Instead of people sending Christmas cards to each other, the money I'm sure would be better sent to charities. After all, the cards are thrown away after Christmas.
Some of our well-paid can give, too. For example, MPs and Royals. It's usually the poor that help the poor. I'm glad some remembered well Armistice Sunday. They gave their lives for us.
It's no use feeling 'sorry'. Something should be done for less fortunate people. Greed has cost lots of lives on railways alone.
