SNEAKY pickpockets stole money after approaching a woman in the R and B Bar, Mealhouse Lane, Chorley, on November 10.

The men took her purse, containing £50, from her pocket at around 9.30pm.

One is described as white, medium build, with short, dark hair.

The other was of short, stocky build, with long blond hair. He is believed to work for a company making carpet tiles. Both men may be Australian.

Overnight on November 11, two youths attempted to steal a Yamaha moped from Millbrook Close, Wheelton. They were seen wheeling it away and when challenged dropped the machine and ran off.

Both are white males. One is 5ft 7ins tall and was wearing dark clothing. The other is aged about 17 and was wearing a cream jacket.

At 11am on November 9, two men approached a farmer on North Road, Bretherton, and agreed a price for the engine of a scrap vehicle.

The owner helped remove it and load it into a blue and white Transit van, registration number N849 DFR.

But the men drove off with the engine without paying for it.

Both are white. One is described as being 5ft 11ins, aged 40-50, of a heavy build, with an Irish accent and wearing a black donkey jacket and fluorescent tabard.

The second was in his early twenties, spoke with an Irish accent and had gingerish hair. He also wore a donkey jacket and tabard.

At 5.15pm on November 12, a man entered Culshaws Newsagents, Moor Road, Chorley, went behind the counter, grabbed some packets of cigarettes and ran off.

He is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall, with short, brown hair. He spoke with a local accent.

He is said to have reddening to his left eye and was wearing a grey charcoal fleece and dark coloured trousers.
