PUPILS at a Chorley school were wide awake and raring to go for a charity run -- even though it started at 7am!
Youngsters at Abbey Village Primary, Bolton Road, were keen to start their run around the school field to raise money for Children in Need, despite the early start.
The group were encouraged by parents, who lit up the field with their car headlights.
A school spokesman said: "It was very muddy. Quite a few went home to shower before school. But they definitely wanted to do it."
She said about 75 pupils in all had taken part -- and they hope to have raised hundreds of pounds.
