I WOULD like to reply to J Wilson's letter (BEN November 18) and defend Bolton Wanderers. Although not well known for their "fan friendly policies", BWFC have made a start with the discounts on season tickets.
Horwich might be a long way from the town centre but does the man not know the club has been running subsidised buses from anywere in the area for £1 since the Reebok opened?
As for not being able to get tickets for Premiership games, they were not all sell-outs or did he only want to go to the "big" games? Finally, I think the reason for the drop in crowds is the quality of the football, which Barnsley apart, has been very poor.
Perhaps Sam should look at his defensive tactics berfore blaming supporters for stopping away.
