ANYONE who is interested in engines and who does not mind spending all their evenings making and mending them, who has immense patience, and endurance to weather conditions, will probably be interested in model aeroplanes.
It is an enthusiast's hobby, as an Evening News reporter found after after visiting Leverhulme Park one cold Sunday afternoon recently to watch members of the Comet Power Club fly their model planes. About 12 members of the club were there, with 14 planes. Mr J.J. Clemmett, secretary of the club, said it was started last year. 'We fly our planes all through the year,' he said, 'except when there are very high winds or violent storms. Snow and rain don't stop us.'
