LEIGH-based Victoria Foods is making a success of its association with Jane Asher and her life-long interest in baking.
The reputation of the Jane Asher Party Cakes shop in Chelsea led Victoria Foods to approach the actress, 18 months ago.
She subsequently developed a range of her recipes which was launched in January this year and is now a £1 million brand in Sainsbury's alone.
There are now plans to extend it to other supermarket chains and the Jane Asher Home Baking Christmas Collection is looking to be a seasonal winner.
Victoria Foods Managing Director Dan Ross and colleagues were invited to a 10th anniversary bash for Jane Asher Party Cakes.
Celebrity guests included Twiggy, actor Christopher Casenove and television personality Gyles Brandreth. A cakes auction raised £10,000 for the National Autistic Society, of which Jane is president.
Mr Ross said: "It really was a spectacular evening, enjoyed by everyone.
"It was memorable and Victoria Foods is delighted to have been involved in supporting this worthwhile event for the National Autistic Society."
