STAFF sickness is costing Council Tax payers a staggering £5 million. Bosses admit that stress is the biggest cause.
Stress has become the modern executive's illness, where workers get full pay when absent from work. If the Council stop paying Council staff when they are off work with this stress sickness, they would soon see a big reduction in absenteeism.
I think it's disgusting that this Council can pay £5 million for stress sickness, but can't find money for school crossing patrols.
