I WRITE in agreement with the lady who wrote in Thursday's paper about the leaf hazard.
I, too, am terrified of falling on the leaves on our paths. I live on Valletts Lane estate in the warden-controlled flats (all old people). The paths are a disgrace, full of wet soggy leaves, and have been for over a month.
I have rung up twice about them. The first time I was told someone would come and have a look (which they haven't), the second time I was told someone would do it (which they haven't). Then last week we were told they can't do it because the machine can't pick up wet leaves (Machine -- I ask you?). What's to do with the brushes?
I agree very much with the lady, if it was done more often they wouldn't be in such a mess.
Both the back and front of our flats are a disgrace; we can't do the back at our age. I have had a broken limb once through a fall and it is no joke.
We pay our Council Tax, so come on Council and do something.
