ST PAUL'S Amateur Players, Adlington, have chosen Babes in the Wood for their December pantomime.
Sarah Ashworth and David Ratcliffe have been cast as the Babes. Both have been members of St Paul's youth group, and David has worked with CADOS in Chorley and Music and Arts in Adlington. Sarah has performed in the chorus in previous pantos. Rachel Johnson is principal boy and Rebecca Charnley principal girl. Michael Dootson, playing Glenda Glucose, is making his debut as Dame. The Players promise a modern panto for the 21st century with plenty of old-fashioned comedy and fun. The Players' production of Joseph sold out every night.
Babes in the Wood will be staged at the Community Centre, Railway Road, Adlington, from December 30 to January 6. Evening performances start at 7.30pm and there are 2pm matinees on December 30 and January 6. Tickets are available from Wendy Salvage on 01257 481910.
