LEIGH'S continuing selection difficulties were apparent and a changed team saw Wright at full-back and Fletcher at stand-off.
Aspull took an early lead with a penalty and Leigh responded with an equalising penalty from Wright after an earlier chance went begging.
Leigh lost the services of Bailey who was sin-binned for a scrimmaging offence and Aspull took the lead from the resulting penalty.
A Leigh handling error then set up Aspull with an attacking scrummage from which they were awarded a converted penalty try for a blatant handling offence, giving Aspull a comfortable 14-3 half time lead.
At half-time Leigh substituted Higson and Woods for Mills and Penn but conceded two further penalties together with a try in the corner for a 24-3 deficit.
Leigh presed hard in the later stages of the game but were unable to capitalise their possession into points on the board.
Aspull completed the scoring with a late converted try for a flattering margin of 31-3.
