BOLTON Under 15s were held to a 1-1 draw by West Lancashire in their challenge match at Ormskirk.

The local youngsters took the lead mid way through the first half when Luke Kileen (Little Lever) fired home after receiving a superb pass from Ben Chapburn (Turton).

West Lancashire hit back from the penalty spot five minutes before the break when goalkeeper Andy Bakewell (Turton), who made his debut at Leeds last week, brought a Lancashire forward down inside the box.

Bolton suffered another set back just after the equaliser when Bakewell had to be taken off with double vision and centre back Liam Convey (Sharples) took over between the posts.

Bolton dominated after the restart and Bolton thought that they had taken the lead when Ben Kitchen (Turton) fired home but his 'goal' was disallowed.

Adam Marshall (Thornleigh) and Kileen also went close but West Lancashire held out to claim a share of the spoils.

Bolton Under 14s were not so fortunate going down 2-0 to Trafford in their Greater Manchester Schools' League match.

Bury Under 14s also suffered a set back going down 4-0 to Salford in their Greater Manchester Schools' League match at Broughton.
