Turton crashed out of the LFA Amateur Challenge Shield at the last 32 stage in a 4-2 defeat at Chatburn. Chris Tongue and Rick Ogden scored the goals for Ronnie Brookes' side.
Of the other ties played on Saturday West Lancs League Premier Division table-toppers Kirkham and Wesham marched on with a 5-1 home win over Adlington and will now travel to Turton's conquerors in the last 16. Whinney Hill beat Sudden Websters 1-0 and will have home advantage to Wyre Villa 3-2 victors over Bootle.
Despite the fact that some round two ties have still to be played the LFA have still issued the draw for round four of the Shield. It takes some working out but Eagley, still to play their round two home tie against New Vic, then home to Norcross and Warbeck in round three, have been drawn away to Springfield.
Hindsford at home to the winners of the Wigan SMR or Cambridge tie have home advantage again in the last 16 to Phoenix Celtic or Storeys of Lancaster. The winners of the Blackrod Town/Atherton Town tie could eventually end up travelling to Goldline Trophy winners Charnock Richard. The victors of the two Towns clash are at home to Barrow Celtic in round three then away in the last 16. Charnock must come through an away tie at Spotland Reform Club or Haslingden St Marys to seal that Round four place.
