WITH regards to the Blue Badge holders having these hefty and silly fines given to them -- well someone has to foot the bill for the extra staff.
I was one of the unfortunate ones who was given a ticket for putting the badge the wrong way round. My mother had only received her badge on the morning of the incident and we had not had time to read the booklet.
How would those people who issue these tickets like to struggle with an 86-year-old mother, who has difficulty with her legs, on a wet and windy morning? It is a case of 'let's exploit the disabled and make a laughing stock of their mistakes'.
By the way, I was passing the car park at the side of the Sweet Green Tavern in Bolton last week. There were two cars on the car park and two wardens, not checking the cars but reading the parking information board. It seems to be that we have a one to one system in force as well. Come on all Blue Badge holders, kick the council into some sense.
