A BOLTON trio will perform live in front of millions of TV viewers tomorrow when they appear on Blue Peter.
The all-singing and all-dancing girl group La Caj cannot wait to perform on the ever popular children's programme after an action-packed year of success which has seen them accompany a Bolton Elvis impersonator on tour.
Cassie Butterworth, 14, her sister, Abby, 11, and Jane Shakeshaft, 14, all from Harwood, will be performing "Da Doo Ron Ron" by the Crystals on the show -- and are so excited about their TV appearance that they cannot sleep.
Their manageress, Tracie Ross, said: "It's a year since Blue Peter first contacted us, so they have had a long wait and were ecstatic when I told them they were finally going on.
"I could only get the word 'blue' out before they were jumping up and down and screaming. They can't sleep or eat now because of the excitement."
Cassie, who is a pupil at Turton High, said: "I'm not nervous at the moment, just really looking forward to it.
"I would definitely love to perform full-time when I leave school.
"We rehearse three times per week, but would like to do more if we had time."
The group played to a 400-strong audience alongside Elvis impersonator, Mark Williamson, at Breightmet Labour Club, last week and also made a fleeting appearance on BBC Children In Need where they presented a cheque with the Millennium Stars dance troop.
Following their Blue Peter appearance, they will perform at Middleton Masonic Hall on December 30 and are also eagerly awaiting the results of a talent competition they entered in Liverpool.
