IN the pre-season Chorley pantomime starring disabled snooker champion Joan Cummings' fixed penalty ticket, Lancashire Constabulary and Chorley Borough Council have been dopey, grumpy and less than snow white -- and this Citizen reader isn't bashful!
Siting the fairground on disabled parking space and the complete and utter failure of of chief constable Pauline Clare to instruct traffic wardens and police officers to exercise leeway for the disabled drivers, defies logic. Police sergeant Tonge's statement that a warden's job is to clear the road of obstructions. Presumably this excludes fairground paraphernalia.
This isn't fair to Joan who needs help and compassion.
