A BOLTON girl is today driving away with a top BMW after winning a "Big Brother"-style competition. Hazel Waddington beat six other contestants to take the top prize yesterday after spending a month "imprisoned" in a specially built house.
The competition was run by a regional radio station, which means the 19-year-old's face has not become as recognisable as Big Brother's Nichola Holt, also from Bolton, but people could watch what was going on via a website.
The teenager, whose father is a fireman, won the BMW after correctly answering the question: what colour do you get when you mix red with yellow?
The competition, called Survive and Drive, has been organised by Preston-based radio station Rock FM.
Over the past four weeks the contestants have had to complete a number of tasks including writing and singing a song about life in the house.
The entrants, made up of three boys and four girls, were evicted on a weekly basis in a similar style to the Channel Four programme.
