THERE are two opportunities to hear the Brixi Singers this month.
Next Sunday they are giving a performance of Handel's Messiah at Bolton Parish Church with the Brixi Sinfonia and soloists Claire Ormshaw, Deborah Catterall, Martin Roche and Craig Smith.
They are also presenting a concert of Christmas music at St Brendan's Church, Longsight, Harwood, on Friday, December 22 with guest singers and the Invitation Brass Quintet.
Both concerts start at 7.30pm and tickets are available from Sharon Duckworth on 01204 407234. The Brixi Singers were formed in 1994 under the direction of Paul Payton. Richard Lea was appointed music director in 1997.
Wholly amateur, the choir members represent a broad musical and professional background and are committed to presenting varied programmes of quality music.
