I CONGRATULATE Bolton's traffic wardens for cracking down on the misuse of Orange Badges.
I have lost count of the times I have seen these so-called 'invalids' get out of their large, expensive cars and sprint off like young racehorses. I have every sympathy with the genuine disabled, good luck to them, but the misuse of this privilege is a disgrace and I would suggest that anyone with heart trouble so bad they can't walk 100 yards is in need of urgent medical attention and are in no fit state to be wandering round a busy town centre.
I would guess about 50pc of Orange Badge holders are genuinely disabled - the rest are taking advantage of a very lax system and it is time they stopped whinging and paid for parking like the rest of us.
