Miniature railway go slow ON Sunday afternoon, November 26, our transit van was parked in front of the clubhouse at Moss Bank Park. While we were inside the building a thief entered the van and stole tool boxes, with all the special tools and spare parts we require for the maintenance of the locomotives, track, etc, we use on the railway.
The value is incidental, these special tools have been collected over the last 30 years, and many will not be replaced easily.
Hopefully we will ensure that we will be able to maintain the service for the children at the weekends, but this latest incident just adds to the problems we have with vandalism to the track, which is quite regular and expensive. It also slows down on future development and expansion of the railway.
Just thought you would be interested in this annoying situation.
