WHEN C.B.s met Walkden 'A' in Division One, consistent shooting by Sheila Sanderson and Clare Elding in the first half gave C.B.'s a seven goal lead at half time.
Walkden 'A' stepped up a gear in the second half and matched C.B.'s goal for goal, but C.B.s maintained their advantage to win by 21-14.
B.P.E.A. are having their best season yet and recorded their eighth victory by beating Bolton Pianos by 14 goals.
In Division Two, St Bonifaces were trailing by four goals against Darcy Lever due to excellent defending by Michelle Farthing. Although St Bonifaces outplayed Darcy Lever in the second half, they failed by just one goal to take the points.
Ridgeway and Eagley were tying seven goals all at half time and saw consistent court play throughout the match by both centres, L. Walker and L. Cardwell. Eagley edged ahead in the second half to win by two goals on a final score Eagley 17, Ridgeway 15.
Close matches were the order of the day in Division Three. Chorley Raiders, leading by five goals at half time, had to share the points (18-18) with Andrea Whipp Hairdressing after good defensive play by S. Brookes.
High Spirits were trailing by seven goals to Grey Mare due mainly to the shooting skills of goal attack Vicky Austin. Pat Halsall intercepted several balls in the second half and these were converted into goals, but unfortunately, they could not make up the deficit and lost by four goals.
