There's water as far
As the eye can see.
From up in the north
To the west country.
With half of Great Britain
Under a flood.
And when it subsides
Leaves home full of mud.
Our rivers are bursting
And covering the land.
We'll protect all the houses
With bags full of sand.
But the people will triumph
With their usual resolve.
The great British spirit
Will never dissolve.
