BOLTON'S Library Link has a message for its members -- switch on for a good read!
"Listen 'Ear" is an audio cassette featuring housebound and visually impaired readers from the North-west sharing their favourite reading experiences, including their favourite authors and books.
It aims to inspire other readers, who may not have the opportunity to browse or select their own books, to learn about the selection of books available to them and to try something different.
As well as being entertaining and informative, "Listen 'Ear" highlights the importance of the Library Link service to housebound and visually-impaired people. The Library Link deliver cassette and large-print books, jigsaws and music cassettes to 730 people on a fortnightly basis.
To find out more, ring Library Link on 332 369, or Romily Britton at Westhoughton Library, 01942 634 640.
"Every time we do a survey we find out how much people value our service and use it as a link to the outside world," said senior community librarian Romily Britton.
