I WOULD like to wholeheartedly thank the three Bolton MPs, whose tireless work has finally reaped rewards, with the announcement that the Government is set to introduce a Bill to ban fox hunting.
Despite the ridiculous rantings in the BEN by members of the Countryside Alliance, (I note they didn't want their addresses printed, probably because they live in Dartmoor), fox hunting has no place in a modern society. I am delighted the Government has kept its pledged and provided time for this to be debated and voted upon.
I only hope that the Countryside Alliance accepts the will of the people and the will of Parliament, and does not resort to petty direct action, in a desperate attempt to protect their love of killing animals for fun.
It is now also that we will see the Tories and Liberal Democrats' true colours. No doubt Cllr Ronson and her clan, along with Tory councillors and candidates, will try and portray themselves as anti-hunting, but we will see the truth when the Conservative Party and Liberal Democrat Party form an unholy alliance in the Lords, like they did before, and try their level best to preserve their love of barbaric bloodsports.
