JUSSI Jaaskelainen admitted today that he was shocked when he was told the full extent of his knee injury.
"I just couldn't believe what the specialist was telling me," he explained.
"I thought it was maybe a cartilage because I wasn't in any pain and was able to run off the field.
"When he said something about a ligament I still wasn't sure so I asked how long I would be out, thinking he might say four or six weeks.
"When he said six months I just said 'What!!!'"
The Mighty Finn has quickly come to terms with missing the rest of the season and has set his sights on being fit for what he hopes will be a Premiership campaign in August.
But he's still upset that Andy Parkinson tried to score while he was lying on the ground injured.
No Paolo Di Canio award for the Tranmere striker then?
"He knew I was injured. I fell and I let the ball go," Jaaskelainen insisted.
"He shouldn't have tried to score."
Just as well Colin Hendry was on hand to clear the ball off the line!
