A MILLENNIUM oak tree will be planted at Moss Bank Park tomorrow by the Mayor and Mayoress of Bolton along with Mrs Enda Brooks.
The tree will be planted in memory of Edna's husband Bob Brooks who died last year. Bob served the Bolton community through the Lions Club of Bolton for more than 30 years and was a founder member of the club.
He also served the North-west when he was District Governor and was also prominently involved nationally and internationally with Lions Clubs International.
It is tradition for the Lions Club of Bolton to plant a tree in memory of a Lion who dies in service.
