WHAT a lot of tosh has been written about Roy Keane this week.
Okay, so his challenge on Manchester City's Alfie Haaland was more like an assault than a tackle.
So what if it could have ended a career had the victim been standing instead of jumping at the time. And what if he rubbed verbal salt in the prostrate City player's wounds with a few choice words Haaland said 'were almost worse than the tackle' on his way off the pitch.
So what if he was given a standing ovation for his act of ugliness from 64,000 previously pensive fans. And yawn, yawn if he took two kicks at another City player earlier and then shoved him in the chest when his victim offered to shake his hand.
This is Roy Keane we're talking about. He's not interested in sportsmanship, he's interested in winning.
And let's be honest, wouldn't every football fan in the country want him in their team if they had the chance.
