WANDERER Ricardo Gardner scored direct from a corner but Jamaica were held to a 1-1 draw by Honduras in their World Cup CONCACAF qualifying game in Kingston.
Gardner's 56th minute strike caught out Honduras keeper Noel Valladores as it curled between two defenders on the near post. Samuel Caballero equalised on 80 minutes after Honduras had also missed a penalty in the 72nd minute.
The suspension-hit and injury ravaged Reggae Boyz are now fourth in the six-team group. They are level on four points with second-placed Costa Rica and third-placed Mexico and five points adrift of leaders United States.
Manager Sam Allardyce will assess Gardner's fitness before deciding whether to include the in-form winger in his starting line-up at Barnlsey.
Gardner only arrived back from the West Indies on Thursday night. "My concern," the manager explained, "is whether, after playing four games in eight days for us, tripping thousands of miles to play for Jamaica and tripping thousands of miles back, he is capable of performing like he can. If I feel he can't, I will probably put him on the subs' bench. If he's as bright as normal, I'll start with him."
Dean Holdsworth, who has scored five goals in the last eight games, is having treatment on a slight groin strain but should be fit for Oakwell.
