THE Theatrical Management Association has launched its campaign to find enthusiastic members of the public to serve as regional panellists for the Barclays Theatre Awards.
Around 140 panellists are recruited each year throughout the country to assess productions they would normally see as part of their regular theatre going.
The Awards' year runs from September 1, 2001, to August 31, 2001, and during this time panellists will send in marks for productions they have seen.
All successful applicants will receive a pair of complimentary tickets for each local theatre production they wish to see.
Anyone interested in applying should write a 100 to 150 word review of a theatre production seen within the past six months. Panellists must not be professionally connected with the theatre industry.
To apply use one of the leaflets displayed in TMA theatre foyers during May and June, or send a stamped addressed envelope to: Barclays Theatre Awards Applications (M), TMA, 32 Rose Street, London WC2E 9ET. Closing date for applications is July 6 and selection of panellists takes place during July and August.
