FURIOUS community leaders are building a team to kick-out soccer hooligans.
A series of attacks on isolated sports grounds has brought a call-to-arms from Leigh councillors who have been incensed by mindless vandalism.
Hindsford councillor Graham Lingings and his Atherton colleague Cllr Sue Loudon have pledged their support to stamp out a problem highlighted by the plight of Atherton Collieries.
As reported in the BEN, the Colls' Alder house clubhouse has been blitzed in a series of raids which has devastated members of the amateur club.
Now the duo are determined to do all in their power to oust the yobs and are urging volunteers to help the cause.
A plea has gone out from the club for help from local tradesmen and companies who would volunteer their help to assist in repairing the damage and possibly increasing security.
