TWO men posing as council workers made off with cash after robbing a Radcliffe pensioner. The offenders struck at 3.30pm yesterday when they called at the 72-year-old woman's Melrose Road home and tricked their way inside. While one of the thieves distracted the woman, his accomplice searched several rooms and stole a small amount of money.
Both offenders are described as white, in their early 20s, with short brown hair. One is described as being 5ft 10 inches tall, slim and wearing a black leather jacket. His partner is 5ft 7 inches tall, stocky and wearing a pale blue shirt.
