A CHORLEY woman received a special award this week -- for helping people become real losers!
Weight Watchers' leader Yvonne Meadley, aged 62, of White Coppice, has been with the organisation for more than a quarter of a century.
And to mark the stint she was presented with a 'backdated' award for 25 years' service as a leader by Jenni Roberts, Weight Watchers' regional manager, at Park Road Methodist Church, Chorley, on Tuesday.
Yvonne, married to Mike with three children and four grand children, said: "I joined myself 29 years ago and lost two-and-a-half stones and started to be a leader for Weight Watchers in 1972.
"The years have just gone by and I have enjoyed it, kept slim and met some good friends."
Yvonne, a trim nine stones, reckons she has helped people lose "thousands and thousands" of pounds and weighed "thousands" of people in that time.
Yvonne's classes take place at Park Road Methodist Church on Monday evenings and Tuesday mornings.
